Bluebird Family

Saturday, February 1st, 2014

My oldest daughter S. and I spent a good portion of the afternoon creating a series of photographic portraits of our peg doll collection. It was time well spent! I was able to teach her some basics on studio lighting set up, and also how to manually select focus points on my dslr camera. We used a tripod and a macro lens to capture tiny details on the peg dolls. It was her idea to break out the Christmas tree! Meet mama and papa bluebird and their soon to be son/ daughter! (The egg is made of sculpey clay, baked and a few speckles added with paint. Nest is wound up yarn and twine, knotted and twisted to make a suitable home for this sweet little family). Tweet!
